Tholstrup is a family owned restaurant group started in 1972 by Peter Tholstrup. Common for all of our different restaurants is a passion for quality, a love for seasonal ingredients and a higly valued guests experience.

All of our restaurants have Chambré Séparée and semi-private dining areas.
Started in 1972 with the first restaurant, Bøf & Ost at Gråbrødretorv with the first outdoor seeting in Copenhagen and a connection to the french cuisine.
In 1975 Peder Oxe opened as a traditional Danish lunch restaurant serving open-faced sandwiches and a danish-french dinner menu.
Our cocktailbar opened up in 1978 as a spot for the yuppies and party-loving Copenhageners. Now serving high-end cocktails and champagne.
Opened in 2007 as a Spanish wine-bar and tapas restaurant serving more than 100 different wines, sharing dishes and our own-imported Spanish ham.
In 1983 Nyhavns Færgekro opened as a traditional 'Nyhavn'-restaurant serving classic danish dishes, home-made schnaps and welcoming tourists to Copenhagen. Originally the sales office of White Star Line selling tickets to cross the Atlantic.
Was the first organic restaurant in Copenhagen and a part of Tholstrup Restaurants since 1996. Now serving modern Danish dishes with a deep connection to the seasonal ingredients and the traditions of Danish cuisine.
Since 1996 it has opened its courtyard to the Copenhageners and serving modern French dishes with a focus on seafood and oysters. Known by many in Copenhagen as the place to go for a intimate dining experience.
Close to the Skuespilshus (Royal Danish theater) You'll find Kompasset. A high-end open-faced sandwich restaurant awarded in the White Guide (Nordic Restaurant guide) and a large selection of craft beers from the Copenhagen area. It opened in 2016 and being the newest of the restaurants in the Tholstrup family.
