Reffen – Copenhagen Street Food is the largest street food market in the Nordics. It’s a creative hub, driven by food entrepreneurs and creative fireballs. In the 1960s, the venue on Refshaleøen was home to Burmeister and Wain, Denmark’s largest shipyard and ships were built here until 1996.
Today, Reffen has taken over the old 10.000m2 industrial area and transformed it into a container playground with 32 food stalls. Reffen involves Copenhagener’s and tourists alike to explore a world of delicious eats, crafts and events.
We offer a unique, relaxed setting and right here we'll give you a brief introduction to the opportunities at Reffen:
Socialise with Reffen
You’ve been through the program; had the fancy dinner with white table cloths and stiff clothes – isn’t it time for a change of scenery?
At Reffen, our arms are open; ready to welcome you! We love ear-to-ear smiles – and that’s why the opportunities at Reffen can be combined any way you want. All we want, is that your visit turns out exactly as you imagined.
Are you a larger group?
We’ll reserve a table in our covered terrace for you - ready when you arrive. Sit down, inhale the fresh, informal market air and focus on what’s truly important in life: laugh, have a toast for life and enjoy each other’s company!
Use your bench or your area as your hangout: go explore the market, find your favourite street food kitchen and have a bite to eat – you’ll always have your spot to return to.
Go explore – the Reffen card
Grasp your Reffen card, set the compass and take a trip from Denmark to Mexico, Africa, India or Japan.
Taste your way through the 17 different nationalities, treasure hunt in the creative workshops and explore Reffens vibrating and casual atmosphere. Lounge in the snug corners and enjoy life.
With the Reffen card in your hand, you and your group will have the liberty to choose individually; the liberty to indulge yourselves and your taste buds, as each of you prefer.
As a group, you can order exactly as many Reffen cards as you wish and deposit exactly the amount that suits your group – and of course the cards come with one overall bill.
Here's to you – toast at reffen
At Reffen no occasion is too small, as long as you want to clink glasses – so seize your glass and have a toast!
We have put together our drinking menus with everything from organic beer to delectable bubbles, wonderful wine, coffee, tea and water - no one should go thirsty home.

Unique maritime environment
There is no other place quite like the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel. The preserved warehouse, built in 1787, is situated in one of Copenhagen’s most attractive locations on the waterfront across The Royal Danish Opera, near Copenhagen’s best shopping and cultural attractions, and as neighbor to the Royal Palace Amalienborg and the Royal Playhouse.
The impressive wooden beams and sturdy walls of the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel have been the backdrop to many successful events. Our committed and professional team will take care of both planning and implementation - and we have a lot of suggestions how to add the final touches to your event.
Outside, you have the quayside surroundings offering views across the harbour. Inside, the hotel’s massive beams complement the inviting décor. Small gardens are situated outside the meeting rooms.
To celebrate your next special occasion with something truly unforgettable you can charter one of the three veteran schooners, berthed in front of the Copenhagen Admiral Hotel from May until October.
Copenhagen Admiral Hotel – an attraction in itself.

With a fantastic atmosphere and unique location at the last frontier in Nyhavn Canal, four star 71 Nyhavn Hotel is at home in two historic warehouse buildings from the early 1800.
For 200 years, Nyhavn 71 has been standing between the foamy sprays from the Harbour and life along the Nyhavn Canal. From the southern side of the building unparalleled views to the many beautiful museum ships and the clucking water awaits you and offers one of the best views the Copenhagen has to offer.
The hotel encompasses two beautiful warehouses with each their special charm and character. The red warehouse has been totally renovated and opened in October 2016 with 64 new enlarged Deluxe rooms. Just a few minutes’ walk from the hotel you’ll find Amalienborg Palace, Kongens Nytorv and Strøget – but you don’t have to venture very far to experience the unique atmosphere for which Nyhavn is so renowned.
The warehouses are joint on the ground floor by our cosy lobby, also providing access to our new restaurant; Il Rosmarino - Italian kitchen.
We look forward to your visit!
