Attractively located at the end of Sankt Jørgens Sø – one of Copenhagen’s three lakes - our iconic building has undergone a transformation over the past four years – both externally and internally.
The Planetarium is of course primarily a science centre – the place in Denmark to learn all about astronomy and space travel – but it is also the perfect setting for companies and organisations to host their events.
The Planetarium Dome
Our iconic Dome has been given an adventurous makeover, making any presentation, event, conference or concert an unforgettable experience.
The Planetarium Dome features beautiful, custom-made leather chairs, solid walnut acoustic panels, copper banisters, exposed concrete and a new advanced, 8K audio and laser projection system. This means you can project PowerPoint presentations and video material, or stream a product launch globally from the largest tilted Planetarium dome in Europe with its 700-m2 full-dome, surround screen.
The Planetarium’s award-winning exhibition Cosmos depicts the origins of the universe and humankind and makes any (corporate) event unique.
With its powerful visual, digital impact Cosmos is the perfect venue – for example, as a gathering point prior to a presentation in the Planetarium’s Dome, for a meeting activity, a lecture, a standing buffet reception, a cocktail party or a gala dinner – or a combination of all of them!
Restaurant Gemini is our latest addition.
Opened in March 2022, it was created by the team behind the Copenhagen restaurant Norrlyst. In 2021, Norrlyst was awarded a Michelin Bib Gourmand for the first time, one of just 15 restaurants in Denmark to receive that honour. The Bib Gourmand is a recognition of a great gourmet experience at a reasonable price. That sums up Gemini to a T.
Serving quintessential Nordic food and using seasonal local produce, Restaurant Gemini provides the icing on the cake for any visit to the Planetarium.
