The M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark tells the story of Denmark as one of the world’s leading maritime nations in award-winning architecture designed by the internationally renowned architects from BIG - Bjarke Ingels Group.
Conferences, events and meetings in award-winning architecture:
The underground museum building is an iconic piece of architecture and offers unique settings for conferences, events and meetings. At M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark we tailor-make your event - from a small meeting to a large conference. We have Denmark's most beautiful auditorium, a floating deck stretched out between the walls of the dry dock, and provides you with the opportunity to have dinner surrounded by history in our exhibitions where the beautiful displays, historical objects and giant film projections form the settings of your event. In the summer the outdoor dock becomes an "underground" terrace, where it's possible to host receptions for 400 people.
All conferences at M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark include entrance to the museum’s exhibitions and other facilities.
”One of 10 museums to travel to for their stunning structures” - National Geographic
”A cutting-edge cultural venue” - New York Times.
Nordic gourmet cooking:
At M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark we collaborate with some of Denmark’s best chefs to deliver top quality company menus.
M/S Café is managed by Nicolai Byholt, partner in Mundwerk, and serves tasty classics with a Nordic twist. Nicolai Byrholt and his partners, Jacob Nielsen and Clement Nielsen, come from prominent places like Sommelier, Søllerød Kro, Alberto K and AOC. Additionally, Nicolai Byrholt has previously operated a hotel in Southern France and Restaurant Jacobsen in Klampenborg.
The M/S Maritime Museum of Denmark is a UNESCO World Heritage site in Elsinore, just north of Copenhagen. The museum is located in a unique historical context adjacent to one of Denmark’s most important historical buildings, the Kronborg Castle.
