Moltke’s Mansion was originally built in 1702 and was later enlarged in 1878 and 1932 respectively.
The building has served a myriad of purposes over its time-honoured history, namely as a home for nobles, merchants, a dowager queen, a Danish prime minister and an array of upper class personages.
Today, Moltke’s Mansion has been lovingly and thoroughly restored, and has become a cherished venue for hosting conferences, meetings, banquets and celebrations in Copenhagen’s most outstanding and well-preserved historical surroundings.
The numerous halls and chambers can accommodate large events hosting up to 650 guests, and our smaller chambers provide the ultimate setting for smaller celebrations and meetings. A palace honoured with centuries of history and tradition carries certain obligations.
Through our craftsmanship, we respectfully strive to meet these obligations by ensuring that things are done according to a very high standard. For all of our events, our goal is to provide our guests with unpretentious but impeccable service – with just the right degree of attentiveness and a twinkle of the eye.
The very same attitude and professionalism also holds true in our kitchen and in our office – from the client’s first contact to when the last guest leaves the palace.
At Moltke’s Mansion we pride ourselves on utilising Danish ingredients and methods of preparation – liberally seasoned with inspiration from the world around us and made in harmony with the times we live in. Stunning silver platters or plated dinners? White tablecloths and crystal chandeliers – or black sofas, special lighting and vibrant colours?
Everything has its place, and at Moltke’s Palace, the setting and service are always perfectly matched to the individual requirements of the occasion. It may have been built in 1702, but Moltke’s Mansion offers a modern spectrum of possibilities for your event, from the classically refined to the very latest trends in entertaining.
