A warm welcome to Restaurant Lille Mølle; one of the brightest starts on Copenhagens Fine Dining scene.
Here, hundreds of years of cultural heritage meet with modern Nordic gastronomy, created by chef Christoffer Sørensen and his team.
Christoffer Sørensen is among the most prominent Nordic chefs of his generation and received the Michelin Young Chef Award for his talent in 2021.
Behind the old walls, a modern restaurant awaits, where the ingredients follow the rhythm of the seasons and the kitchen cultivates fermentation, harvesting and pickling. The History of the Old Mill
The restaurant is located in the building Lille Mølle – Small Mill in Danish.
The mill was built in 1669 and ran as a mill until the 1890’s, delivering flour to the bakeries in Copenhagen.
In 1916, the Mill, which had been left to its own decay, was bought by the young engineer Ejnar Flach-Bundegaard and his wife Johanne. Behind the characteristic yellow mill facade they decorated the large and labyrinthine dwelling, spread over five floors with living rooms and bedrooms, secret hideouts, a church room, a wine brewery and, not least, its own banquet hall.
Today, part of their home is still preserved as a an interior museum, left exactly like it was when Johanne died in 1974. The museum is operated seperately from the restaurant and we highly recommend a visit.
Since Restaurant Lille Mølle opened in 2025, we have been commited to carrying on the legacy of the building as a place where people meet, and memories are created.
You are dining in 400 years of history!

Just a few steps away from Nyhavn, the 25hours Hotel Paper Island has found its home. The building is located on Christiansholm Island, also known as Paper Island. The heaped-up island in Copenhagen harbour was used as a paper warehouse for a long time and was most recently the location of a well-known street food market. The city centre is directly connected via a pedestrian and cycle bridge. The Royal Opera House is located on the neighbouring island.
128 rooms in a new building complex, six of which have their own outdoor area. The symbol of the island served the Swedish interior design team as inspiration for the hotel design, which reminds visitors of a stay in a Scandinavian holiday home. Natural colours and materials offer hotel guests a relaxed counterpoint to the hustle and bustle of the city. Just like the holiday home, which has been in the family for a long time, there are also all kinds of special features that have accumulated over the years.
Three meeting rooms on the ground floor (for 8 people, 14 people, 149 people - with theatre seating, without tables), as well as a chambre séparée on the 8th floor for approx. 14 people at a table that cannot be changed.
With 87 seats, the Tiger Lily restaurant will offer Asian dishes in the ambience of a Danish summer house. It combines Asian design and wood art, colours and patterns and origami in a contemporary way.
On the top floor, a skybar awaits with views of the Opera House and the setting sun.
