Description

For information regarding Covid-19, please have a look at our guidelines at: www.gentoftehotel.com/-/media/arp-hansen/pdf/safe-to-visit_uk.pdf. The safety and security of our guests are, as well in these times, our highest priority, at the front page of our website you can read more about the current situation at our hotel.

Located just a few minutes’ drive north of Copenhagen, Gentofte Hotel was completely refurbished in 2008.

Upon arrival, you are greeted by a modern, inviting ambience which exudes the hotel's original cosy intimacy – an atmosphere that reaches back nearly 350 years to when the building was erected.

Our rooms are distinguished by individual style and charm, and our meeting rooms are equipped with all modern facilities. And if you're seeking an exquisite setting for your next function or event, you have come to the right place.

You can hold meetings and conferences here for up to 100 participants. Our many meeting rooms give you a wide range of options in terms of table layout and use of group rooms. It is also possible to book meeting rooms with air-conditioning.

Sustainability

SUSTAINABLE TOURISM

We at the Arp-Hansen Hotel Group are working to promote and develop sustainable tourism. We are doing this by integrating responsible consumption and production into our business. This applies to our choice of suppliers and cooperation partners and, in particular, to our own actions.

Our suppliers and cooperation partners have to commit themselves to living up to our Code of Conduct. Our employees act based on our sustainability principles, which promote the right mindset.

We use the UN’s Global Sustainability Goals as our guiding principle, with a particular emphasis on goals no. 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). It is here that we feel that we can make the biggest and most noticeable difference in relation to our work.

UN’S GLOBAL SUSTAINABILITY GOALS AND ECOLABELS

We use the UN’s Global Sustainability Goals as our guiding principle, with a particular emphasis on goals no. 6 (Clean Water and Sanitation), 8 (Decent Work and Economic Growth) and 12 (Responsible Consumption and Production). It is here that we feel that we can make the biggest and most noticeable difference in relation to our work.

As a complement to the global goals, we work with a number of environmental labels and certifications. They bind us very specifically to actions that can be measured so we can see if the things we do generate the desired effect.

More specifically, we have 5 strategic focus areas, where we have good underlying data and can therefore see if we can really change something. By changing, for example, the containers for soap, shampoo and lotions, we can eliminate 1,350,000 million of containers every year. The six focus areas are:

  • Waste sorting
  • From spring to tap water
  • From small plastic containers to larger containers
  • Increased focus on The Organic Cuisine Label and Green Restaurant
  • Further reduction in food waste

WE ARE ON THE RIGHT TRACK...

As we amass experience and are inspired by the work of others, we can perhaps supplement with more focus areas. We feel that we are on the right track with our sustainability strategy and specific initiatives. But this is not equal to knowing everything. In other words, we are really looking forward to any ideas or input you could possibly have about how we can do even more.
