A calm architectural gem overlooking Copenhagen Harbour
Set on an artificial island in Copenhagen Harbour, this hotel offers a tranquil waterside oasis, where a dip in the clean water is just outside the front door and the city’s cultural sights are within walking distance.
State-of-the-art architecture characterizes the entire hotel, which was designed by Kim Utzon, son of the world-famous architect Jørn Utzon, in a modern Scandinavian style. The reception area and lobby bar offer a bright, welcoming space to relax with a drink or light snack. Mornings begin at The Harbour Breakfast restaurant, where a glass façade provide privileged waterfront views.
The 331 bright guest rooms, most of which overlook the water, are decorated in a clean and modern style with subtle references to the maritime world. All rooms include complimentary access to the fitness center.
Guests staying in the higher-category rooms enjoy complimentary access to The Harbour Executive Lounge on the 1st floor, where drinks and snacks await accompanied by a beautiful view of Copenhagen Harbour.
Its proximity to Tivoli Gardens, the Meatpacking District, and the harbor promenade trails makes Copenhagen Island an ideal base for exploring Copenhagen on foot, by the nearby metro, or by one of the hotel’s rental bikes.

As a family-owned hotel chain, responsibility has been a keyword in Arp-Hansen Hotel Group since the company's inception in 1961. We continuously work on integrating responsible consumption and production into our business. This applies to our choice of suppliers and cooperation partners and to our own actions. In the long run, the goal for Arp-Hansen Hotel Group is to become carbon-neutral in both our own operations and in our value chain by 2050, and to achieve this, we have joined the Science Based Targets Initiative (SBTi), which is the highest standard for companies that are ambitious and targeted in reducing their own climate footprint.
In addition to SBTi, we are committed to meeting the criteria of the Green Key Certification - the leading international standard for environmental responsibility and sustainable operations in the hospitality industry.
